Just a quick update as things are still classified :D

Some of the things that we might pull off this year, are going to be.. beyond gaming... Gone are the days of counting my AMPs or the speed of my R30 000 switches. We have and always will be in a league of our own.

Monday the 13th October saw Kwa-zulu Natal host the first Major Exhibition and Gaming event in its history. The best gamers in the country from Gauteng and Western Province voluntarily made the trip to this unique event, creating high quality and intensely competitive games. The Cyber Week opened on the 13th, with exhibitors boasting their latest equipment as a build up the weekend’s main events. Competitors competed in Defence of the Ancients (DotA) and Call of Duty 4 (CoD4) in an attempt to grab their hands on a portion of the R170 000 prize pool, the most attractive at any event in recent years.

The competition was indeed very fierce, the CoD4 tournament saw the three top ranked teams in the country compete, FiB, BFB and Pantheon Gaming. FiB were flying the home flag against their counterparts who all had players from Gauteng/Western Province.
The DotA saw current top ranked Team, Bravado fly up from Cape Town to compete against the KZN and Gauteng mixes of team Rainbow and team CNC.

We will keep the CoD 4 Tourney Registration open during the standard LAN opening times (5pm-8pm).
8pm-9pm will be registration. 9pm-9:30pm final touches, we start at 9:30 for round 1 of CoD 4.

Registration is from 5-8pm, 1st DotA game starts at 9pm, for all games the draft needs to be done 30 mins before, and setup is 10 mins before u start. See you there. The actual time schedule will be posted soon.
Please note, the 1st game will be NsF vs NaR.

Clan TiG, your registration came in less than 10 mins ago, you made me redo the draw, if you don't confirm with me before we start tomorrow, you forfeit round 1.

The Sign Ups for the DotA and Call of Duty 4 competitions have now been closed.
If you didn't make it in time, you have till I finalize the draw to beg me to let your team enter :D

Everything else is on track and good to go. Reminder of the times, registration is from 5pm -> 8pm, if you going to be late, let me know now.. not after u late. Close up time should be latest 4pm Sunday.. the earlier the better. That means YOU must be on time, cause I sure will be.

Just to inform everyone that Sign-Ups for the Competition events close Tuesday night at 00:00.
This is so that we can do the draws, seedings and schedules.

Open LAN Registration will remain open even at the event.
A reminder that R200 is paying for the Open LAN + 1 of the Competitions, sorry you may not enter both.
R100 is purely for the Open LAN. The DotA players may attend the Open LAN while waiting for their scheduled games, but the onus is upon you to make sure you arrive on time at the exhibition event for your game.

Just incase some people are confused as to how the sign ups work.

You can sign up for the Open LAN if you are entering the DotA tourney, as these are at different locations at Gateway. You don't need to sign up for the Open LAN if you entering the CoD 4 Tourney as this is the same area.
